Dear Ian,David,Pat and family,
My deepest sympathy for the death of your Mum,Maree.I have so many fond memories of my time as a “boarder” with your family in the late 60’s,while a medical student at UofT.
Maree was a great friend to me and my brother ,Ab(and so many others)-a cheerleader and a champion.She was a powerful woman woman who took up little space.....a model of warmth,humour,and love of family.
We kept in touch over the years,sharing news of beloved grandchildren.I remember her kindness with gratitude and admiration.I still hear her say,”It’s up in Nelly’s room behind the wallpaper” and”I f you have any trouble with these boys,here’s the wooden spoon.”
