Pat was one of the first persons I met when I moved to Singapore in 1974. His name was given to me by a mutual friend in Toronto. Pat invited me to dinner at the Tanglin Club and during our discussions advised that in order to best adjust to my new home I should never turn down an invitation, even if it was to something that I did not like to do. This was advice that I took to heart and continued to practice in my relocation in Asia and back to Canada. We met regularly until Pat returned to Canada. My condolences for your loss.
