Dear Lexy So sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. My husband Jim was a classmate of your Dad’s and we spent lots of fun times together after university. We shared dinners out , vacation time at Bangor Lodge, many fun New Year’s Eves and visits at our cottage. When we were together we never ran out of conversation. I have a funny memory of a cottage weekend with your Aunt Gina and Uncle Tony..Tony kept talking about getting up early to go fishing.. he never did.. we ended up calling him Tony Fisherman! I had the pleasure of working with Kathy during my years teaching at Ryerson between 1972 and 1978. I was "housed" in the Business Department but taught a few courses in the Home Economics Department. Kathy always had a great smile together with an incredibly warm and humbling personality. Those were the times. It was people like Kathy that helped the Polytechnic as it was called then grow to the university stature it is today. Her candle will always glow brightly. Marvin Zuker.

So sorry to read of Kathy’s death. I was a colleague from the University of Guelph who attended many conferences with her during the 1970 - 1990’s period. I always enjoyed her company.

She and I were of different disciplines but our paths intersected frequently and I appreciated (and benefited from) her openness, encouragement, and good humour, many happy memories from those days.
