Grandpa, I will forever be grateful for all the memories and time shared with you. I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me and my family throughout the years you are an amazing man. I know my sons will hear lots of stories about you that make me smile and laugh. You are in inspiration to many and so proud, I hope to live to 100 one day also!

Saddened to learn of the passing of our cousin and good friend Pat Burns. What an interesting life he lived, homesteading in Saskatchewan, decorated WWII war hero (Distinguished Flying Cross), geologist, professional engineer, successful horse breeder, business executive, centenarian, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. We found him to be a kind and generous man.
He and Sheila have been good friends to Barbara and myself and we will miss our visits with him.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Fran, Laurie, Scott and their families.

Well it’s been a hard day I have visited Dad every week since all the Covid Two weeks after I moved him in no visits but was allowed to FaceTime then it went back to visits and I went every week sometimes twice when my tests gave me a 48 hour window Never missed a visit mostly Mondays or a FaceTime and I looked forward as much as Dad did to them I dropped off care packages weekly With all the sweets ,the nurses were telling me the other veterans were trying to get into his room to enjoy them also Guess the word was out he had the stash Lol You are loved and missed so much already Dad Say hi to Mom xo

To My Grandpa, I am so glad I was able to spend so many wonderful years with you and Grandma. You have taught me a lot of important lessons and have helped guide me to a great path in life. I had the honour of meeting Mr Cecil Burns only a few years ago. I have delighted in visiting with him and sharing a few conversations about his life. I knew from the moment we first spoke, that before me stood an extraordinary, and exceptional human being, with a kind and gentle soul. His daughter, Laurie, and his grandchildren and great grandkids, are part of the incredible legacy that he leaves behind. The world is a better place because of Cecil Burns, and his great service to his family, his community and to his country, will NEVER BE forgotten. May the family find their comfort in knowing that he now soars like an eagle in His Father’s kingdom. God bless you all, Forever and ever. Amen!
