I was saddened to hear of Francesca's passing. I worked with Francesca at Southam back in the 80s. She was my first boss. Not only did she share her wealth of experience and work ethic, but also her passion for life. We worked hard, but laughed a lot. I've told countless stories of my days at Southam to my husband and friends. Francesca was a special human being. She will continue to live on until the last of us who remembers her is gone. I worked with Francesca as her right hand for a year and a half during a brief stint after her time at Hollinger. She was sharp, witty, loved a joke and was a great all-rounder when it came to business. Perhaps the most important thing I took away from my time with her was to always be present and enjoy life. I worked with Francesca at Southam/ADitus newspaper group so very long ago. She was one of the most passionate and dedicated leaders that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. For almost a decade I was lucky enough to be friends with the lovely and very talented Francesca. Displaying a passion for everything she put her mind to I will miss her doggedness, professionalism, and most of all her kindness. If you were ever in need, she would be there to provide advice, lift your spirits or just sit in an emergency room to make sure you were okay. It is hard to believe her light will no longer shine on our lives. However, her spirit lives on in the many people she touched and her efforts to make this world a better place. My heartfelt condolences to Paul and her parents.
