Obituary of Barbara Joyce Feith
BARBARA JOYCE FEITH
(nee King)
Passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 after a full life of family, art and music. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Henry Alexander Feith in August, 2017, and survived by her daughters, Shelagh Feith and Megan Williams, son-in-law Martin Williams, and grandchildren Ava and Jesse Williams. Predeceased by her parents, Harry and Mary King and sister, Helen Fyfe, all of Halifax.
Always a faithful Nova Scotian, she grew up in Halifax and later Middleton. She was a graduate of the Ontario Ladies College, Whitby, Ontario (Trafalgar College School) and the Ontario College of Art, and was a member of the inaugural years of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. She participated in many CBC programs including “Singing Stars of Tomorrow” and “No’s Futures Etoiles”. After retiring as an advertising artist, she maintained a studio at the Women’s Art Association, Toronto.
Many happy summers were spent in Prague at the house inherited by her husband who was Czech-born.
Mum was always, always glamorous and had a terrific sense of humour. She was forever reading multiple books simultaneously and had a lifelong love of learning - one year asking for a book on tort law for her birthday!
There will be a private family service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
