I have many fond memories of Bill and Kia throughout my childhood. I got to know them when my cousin Helen married Paul. They were always kind and thoughtful. May he rest in peace and his memory be eternal.

I had a wonderful flashback of generosity when I read Mr. Botteas' obituary today in the Globe and Mail. The year was 1983, I was 23 years old and getting married to my love, Janice Crichton. Janice was the niece of Nan Tainsh, the bookkeeper at Staine's Flowers. As the wedding day approached Janice and I were told by Aunt Nan that Mr. Botteas was gifting us flowers for our wedding day. The bouquets, corsages, etc were stunning. It was such a thoughtful gesture from a very generous man. Rest in Peace Mr. Botteas. Michael H. Cobourg, Ontario

I'd tried to contact your aunt Nan last year, when my mother was celebrating her 100th birthday, but I suspect my note did not reach her. My mother passed away in March 2020.
