This sad news has me completely stunned. I attended Bedford Park with Mary-Lou. She was always a kind soul. I don't ever recall her being angry or even annoyed at anything ever! So happy the Bedford gang reunited a few years ago. How sad that Covid19 dashed our plans for reuniting at the Jolly Miller last summer.
RIP Mary-Lou. Condolences to her family.

Sending my deepest condolences to Mary-Lou's family. Mary-Lou was a very special close family friend & a part of my life since I was a young child. A few years ago she hand made some beautiful blankets for my children when they were born, that they love & we will cherish for years to come. She was a loyal and very caring close friend to my Mother Barb Dymott since her & Mary-Lou were young. We enjoyed having Mary-Lou join our family to celebrate many special occasions over the years (Birthday's & Christmas' ) & she was always very kind, caring & pleasant. May she be at peace & she will always hold a special place in my families hearts.

Hi Mr. Peter Oyler and Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your sister Miss. Mary Lou Oyler.
I worked at the TDSB at the same time as Mary Lou in the Purchasing department. I never worked directly with Mary Lou but we always said hello to each other if we met at work. A couple of things that I always heard about Mary Lou was that she was a tremendously hard-working person, accurate, considerate and loyal. My father was in World War 1 & 2 and my stepson put 8 years in the Royal Canadian Arm as a paramedic he also did a tour in Afghanistan. The reason that I mention this is because I had a great deal of respect for Mary Lou for wear her Legion dress uniform for every Remembrance Day festivities in the TBSB lobby at 155 College St. I am sure being a member of the Legion she did some great work for them.
I would also like to express my appreciation for Mary Lou in all of her efforts that she put into the Christmas Dinner every year for the TDSB employees that I had the privilege of being invited to. The reason that I bring this up is because I know that many times that Mary Lou was putting these dinners together and she was in poor health but she was a real trouper and got it done anyways. Mary Lou will not be forgotten, she was a kind and caring person, we never forget those people.
My condolences once again, stay safe and positive,

Dear Klara & Peter, Please know that you are in our thoughts at this sad time. When I was Coordinator of Music for the Toronto Board of Education, I felt fortunate to have Mary-Lou as one of the members of the “Music Team”. Her supportive nature, loyalty, and dedication to the wellbeing of the Itinerant Music Instructor staff and teachers was second to none. After her retirement from the TBE, we often enjoyed conversations at our cottage, her homes, and at the RCMI. May her memory be a blessing.
Sincerely,
Gino and Jane Falconi

Peter, please accept my sincere sympathy, which is extended to you and your family on the loss of Mary-Lou. Her work for the Music Coordinators and others in the Music Department in general was a model of devotion. She brought a deep sense of duty and responsibility to her position and always kept the wellness and longevity of the Toronto Board's Music Department her focus. It was a pleasure to work with Mary-Lou and I'm sure that when you and I taught together at (then) Park P.S., you kept me in Mary Lou's good books!
Please know how much I am thinking of you at this time of sadness.

I knew Mary Lou from 1980 when I joined the department as a music instructor. In the “good old Toronto Board” departments were smaller and we were a music family. Mary Lou was the matriarch of that family. She was unwaveringly dedicated to the smooth running of the department and her ability to shoulder the work was boundless. My deep deep condolences for the loss of a great woman. Love and respect Helen Manning❤️

Sending my deepest condolences to Peter, Klara & family, I am very sorry for the loss of your Sister, Aunt, beloved family member..
I am truly gutted. I learned of Mary-Lou passing earlier today & have shed tears for my dear friend. I am honoured to have become good friends with such a wonderful lady. Mary-Lou was a genuine woman, cared about other’s & always took time (no matter what she was going through) to call for a chat or plan a meet up for coffee on a regular basis . We spent many many conversations setting the world right. I am going to miss Mary-Lou & she will never be forgotten. If heaven had a phone, we could still “put the world right”.
RIP my dear friend.
Deepest Sympathy

Mary-Lou worked with my late-mother Flora Boxer at the BofE Music Department for several decades. I met her when I was young and then in the 2000 at Toronto Scottish Regiment Pipes & Drums, where she made a great contribution too. Condolences to family friends. Apology, I am unable to attend in person, as I live in Melbourne, Australia now. Capt Dr Lionel Boxer CD.
