Obituary of Douglas Ray Potts
Douglas Ray Potts passed away peacefully at Bridgepoint hospice in Toronto ON, on December 5, 2020. He was the loving father of Austin and Karlie, dear friend of Clara, and beloved brother of Donna (Carl) and Debbie (Jamie).
Doug grew up immersed in hockey in Port Perry. He quickly identified photography as a passion and went to Humber College and opened his own studio. He had an exciting career following many avenues and enjoyed each city he called home. Being a dad was something he was proud of and some of his most cherished moments were introducing his children to his adventures outdoors. He was determined to make campers, climbers and kayakers out of all who knew him. He later found his passion for travelling, combining both adventure and photography. He never missed an opportunity to experience life and immerse himself into the cultures of the places he visited. He will be remembered most for his love of photography and adventure, his deep spirituality, as well as his sense of humour. His love and compassion made the world a better place and will be missed by all.
Given the current circumstances, there will be a private visitation for immediate family. There will be a small service followed by a celebration of life in the spring/summer of 2021.
