FRANCIS “FRANK” JOHN HICKS

Frank, 85, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 10, 2020.  Predeceased by his beloved wife Marjorie Doreen (Chilton), his sisters Olive, Dorothy (Roy), Jenny (Charlie) and his brothers Joe, JD, Bobby (Sadie) and Kenneth (Marcelline).  Frank is survived by his sister Gertrude (Russell) and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Toronto on October 27, 1934.  He was the youngest brother to his eight siblings.  He grew up in Toronto playing sports and being a huge Toronto Maple Leafs Fan . . . loved attending games at Maple Leaf Gardens in the Grey SRO section with his brother Ken.  Frank worked for many years at Drug Trading Co. Ltd. where he met his wife Marjorie.  He was an active member of St. Timothy’s Anglican Church where he greeted the parishioners each Sunday.  Frank loved telling jokes and was the “king” of the one-liners.  He will be greatly missed by his friends and surviving family members and will always be remembered for his big heart and wonderful sense of humour.  Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com
