When I was a young boy, Norm was the friendly and fun neighborhood next door. I will always remember his generosity, and playfulness. He taught me to through a football because my Scottish father didn't have the technique. My condolences to the Graham family.

I'm sort of like Scott MacKenzie's comment - Norm was generous and pleasant when I was an industry peon working at CDS and for the CCMA and he a very senior Scotia McLeod executive. I hope that soon your family will find the sadness fade and only happy memories remain.

My condolences to Veda and family. I was so sorry to hear of Norm's passing. I've known Norm since our days at R.H. McGregor Public School, Cosburn Jr. High and East York Collegiate. I have many fond memories of the days we spent playing ball hockey and baseball in the R.H. McGregor schoolyard.

Veda and Family:
I am heart-broken that my dearest friend Norm has left us but I find comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain. I know from our recent chats that he was becoming frustrated and unhappy and was ready to leave us on his own terms. I am blessed to have had Norm as my closest friend and brother for most of my life and I have so many happy memories of things we experienced together. I will treasure every moment as long as I live.
I hope you will find peace in knowing how much Norm was loved and respected by so many.

Dear Veda and family,
I’ve always thought of Norm as a true friend and brother. Much more than a coworker, he’s been a mentor and a great influence on my life. He was a wonderful human being with a giant personality in every way and had an impact on many people both personally and professionally. His ability to make everyone around him feel like they were special is an impossible gift to replicate.
Though I will miss him dearly, thinking about the wonderful memories we shared and all the fun times we’ve had together, will forever bring a smile to my face.

Norm and Veda were our neighbors for over 20 years. He loved his beautiful family, his friends and colleagues and all that made up his very full life. He and Veda were often on the street chatting to all that passed and offered help when needed. He was a smart, ethical, business savvy executive who did not equivocate on his opinions. Veda and family, I send along my condolences for your loss. I got to know Norm through the "industry" at a time when I didn't know my ass from my elbow. Executives a Norm's level had no business taking time to help me understand the complexities of the business, but also the power of people and relationships that make it work and get stuff done. I had the privilege to know Norm at the height of his career and his ceaseless interest in moving the industry forward was a testament to his character. I know my story isn't unique and many generations of professionals owe a debt of gratitude for his contributions and friendship. He will be sadly missed.
