Obituary of Romeo Santos Cruz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Romeo Santos Cruz, on Wednesday August 19, 2020 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents, Agustina and Bartolome Cruz, and brothers Dario and Tee. Beloved father of Alinah, Romeo Jr, Rommel, Rodel and Aloha and dear lolo of Romane and Jacob. Survived by his loving wife Adelina and sisters Maribel and Lucy. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and longtime friends, especially Domingo and Marissa. Romeo was born and raised in Bulacan, Phillipines where he enjoyed raising roosters, playing tennis and watching basketball. He graduated from Far Eastern University as a Medical Technician.  In 1989 he moved his family to Canada, where they settled in Scarborough, Ontario. Romeo worked for Metro Toronto Convention Center for 21 years.  He enjoyed spending time with family, singing karaoke and tending to his roosters.  An avid sports fan, he loved watching the Raptors, Blue Jays and Roger Federrer.  He will be fondly remembered for his infectious smile, relentless work ethic and love of his family. The family would like the thank the staff of the Toronto General Hospital Head and Neck Department for their great care, commitment and compassion while treating him for cancer over the last 7 years. If desired, donations may be made on behalf of Romeo to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Head and Neck Cancer Research Fund.  

Papa, yours was a life well lived. We find comfort in the knowledge that Lolo, Lola, Tito T, Tito Boy and Tito Franco with Titus and Sonny boy will be welcoming you in heaven. We love you very much and miss you more than you will know.
