When I saw Linda's name in the obit column of the CBC Pensioners newsletter today, her face popped into my mind's eye as if our last meeting was yesterday even though it's probably been 35 years since we last worked together. I distinctly and fondly remember her glowing effervescence in combination with impressive efficiency and attention to detail as she monitored our news feeds coming into VTR before running down to the control room to call The National on air for a few years before settling in to her long time passion with the TV Sports department at CBC. Even though our time together as workmates was relatively fleeting, I remember her to this day as someone who combined optimism and enjoyment with efficiency and dedication and what a pleasure it was to work with her. A decent person indeed.
Very sorry to hear of Linda's untimely passing. My sincere condolences to her many friends, co-workers, and family.

Linda and I were fixtures at CBC Sports in Toronto and worked together for many years. She had the greatest smile and a true can-do attitude. I am so very sorry to hear of her long battle with cancer. I send sincere sympathies to her family and friends.

Linda and I became good friends when we worked at CBC in Calgary together. We had lots of fun, laughs and shared many glasses of wine. She visited me on the west coast a few years ago and then we lost touch. I missed her and will continue to do so. My condolences to the family and love to Linda.

The news of Linda's passing brings great sorrow to me, Linda and I did a number of Sports productions together, bringing back fond memories.
Linda was a strong independent woman, who loved people and loved life. Her dedication to her work and her fellow workers was exemplary, she was a true professional. My fondest memory of Linda, was the 88 Olympic games in Seoul Korea, where we took time after the event to explore the country for a week after the event was over.
Her beautiful warm persona gave her the opportunity meet and enjoy people of all walks of life, which she was most fortunate in doing. She was a good friend, a lovely human being and a strong woman.
My deepest condolences to the family.
May you rest in peace my dear friend.

Linda was one of the first people at CBC Sports to support me and guide me in my career. She was always smiling and helpful and so very good at her job. I'm thankful that I got to know her and spend some time with her for a few years. My sincere condolences to her family.

So very sad, Linda was much too young to pass on.
I worked with her at CBC Calgary, and later on, occasionally in Toronto.
Always a great person, and a real professional.
My condolences to her family.

I met Linda sitting in the ovarian cancer clinic at Princess Margaret Hospital. I was drawn to her smile and upbeat attitude. We were a part of a small group who were determined not to let cancer rule our lives. We had nothing in common except for age and doctors. I am a mother and grandmother who has no interest in sports yet we became fast friends. We took our friendship out of the hospital and shared many meals and bottles of wine. My children and grandchildren were happy when she came to family dinners. They are all sports enthusiast and enjoyed her stories.
Linda became a part of my family and I miss her terribly. She was a mountain of strength and kindness. My cancer soul mate and dear friend
