So sorry to hear of the passing of Betty Hallman. She was a truly lovely lady and a very dear friend of my mother's. After Mom died I got to know Betty a little better. She was wonderful company, a keen and empathetic listener who also enjoyed discussing issues of the day. I have fond memories of lunching with Betty at the Victorian Garden Tea Room on Burnhamthorpe, and doing crosswords together. When her husband, Jack, was alive there were many fun social gatherings with my Mom and Dad and their other church friends. My heart goes out to Betty's daughters and extended family who I'm sure will miss her dearly.
