I met Katie at her Uncle Robert's wedding 28 years ago. She and her sisters were absolutely adorable and Katie, Uncle Rob's goddaughter, grew into a strong young woman that he was deeply proud of. As Robert's sister-in-law, I can attest that having him on your side is a gift. I know that they had many visits and conversations during these past months and I'm sure Katie was grateful for the shared memories and connections to her mother Barbara, Aunt Jane, and her devoted grandparents, Jack and Beverley Stodgell.Katie was a compassionate person...she made her mom's oatmeal cookies at Christmas time last year. My impression of Katie was that she was ever the altruist, always putting others first and giving whatever she had to give. That spirit will live on. - Vicki Pullen
