My deepest condolences to her daughters and family. I was privileged to know Ann for some 40 years as a colleague in the pension investment industry. She was a unique, and wonderful woman who succeeded in an industry that was initially dominated by men. I admired her wisdom and calm. She was a great mentor to many. However, I especially treasure the memories of delightful lunches and evenings when we set business aside and she spoke of her daughters. Her pride in their accomplishments shone brightly. I regret that I was not able to see her during her illness and say goodbye in person.

I was very sad to hear of Ann’s passing. My deepest condolences to her family.
I met Ann when she recruited me to James P Marshall. She was a remarkable woman who was a mentor to me during the short time I spent in Toronto and she will always be a role model. I was impressed by her success as a business woman (in a man’s world) as well as her charitable nature and big heart. It’s a rare combination. She picked a great team and cared for them. Her belief in me and my abilities helped me both in my career and as an individual. I will always have fond memories of my time at James P Marshall and I feel privileged to have known Ann and worked for her. May she rest in eternal peace.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Ann's passing.
She was an amazing individual and leader and I learned so much from having the opportunity to work with her. As I think back, the example she set both in how she carried herself and how she treated others continue to resonate with me to this day. I know that Ann will be greatly missed by many.
My deepest condolences to her family.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Ann's family. I started my career in the James P. Marshall, Regina office and was lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Ann in the Toronto office as well. She truly was an amazing woman and had wonderful spirit of giving about her. It was an honor to know her and learn from her. I will always remember her fondly.

I am heartbroken about Ann. Although her health failed her over the years, she never lost her spirit, her acerbic personality and her (sometimes) bawdy laugh and humour. She was such a great storyteller but I used to say: "just get to the point!"Oblique was an understatement!
I met Ann in the late 80s when I hired her as our consultant. She was so incredibly patient and kind to me. She was like a personal coach in the days before they existed - teaching me how to navigate the quirks of the workplace and how to balance them with real life. We were both single mothers and her advice was always pragmatic, sometimes funny ( she said: I eat and you smoke. It works!") We stayed in touch over the years and she was at times a mother, a mentor, a teacher and, always, a good dose of reality.
Thank you Ann for helping me evolve as a person and professional. I will miss you. One more story please.

I read the obituary today with sadness. Ann was a client of mine and one of my favourites. She was smart, intuitive, compassionate and willing to take advice. I saw her a couple of years ago b/c my son and her grandson Aiden graduated high school together. She was a force to be reckoned with and such a kind and vivacious person.
Thoughts and prayers to her whole family.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Ann. Ann was a sympathetic listener, friend and mentor who offered an out-of-a job young man a temporary place to stay in her office in April 1982. I stayed until 1990.
I, along with everyone on Bay Street, marvelled at Ann's remarkable business acumen, personal intuition and stamina in successfully building James P. Marshall Inc. She surprised any doubters. Ann was respected, loyal and honest. Thank you Ann.
May you rest in peace.

I had the privilege of knowing Ann in a professional capacity for over 35 years - first as a consultant, then as a board member of Addenda Capital and then as an Investment Committee member at Canada Council for the Arts. She was a unique and outstanding professional. She was always insightful, honest, caring and humble. She added great value to all of the organizations and people she touched. She will be greatly missed by many.
