Today would have been our memorial service to celebrate Dad's life. Instead, we are keeping our distance from each other to protect our loved ones from becoming ill from the Covid-19 virus. I went for a long walk along the beach today and thought about Dad - and how much he would have loved to be out walking and exploring with me. I feel so lucky to have had him in my life, and recognize how much I am like him in so many ways. He LIVED his life - although quietly and independently - but his sense of curiosity and willingness to get out there and do things was always present. Dad - I was honored to be there holding your hand when you took your last breath. Your spirit will live on in me always - as I continue exploring my path along life's journey and taking your memory along with me. Love you - and stay out of trouble! Sandie

Hi Karen, Sandy, and Steve. I saw the notice in the London Free Press and wanted to send you a note. I remember knowing your Dad a little bit when we were all kids growing up on Maxwell Crescent. It is hard to believe so much time has passed since those days of our youth. My parents still live on Maxwell and we recently celebrated my Dad's 85th birthday. I was saddened to her the news of Norm’s passing. Our sincere condolences to all his family. We always enjoyed our visits with he and Kathy in London and here at the farm. We always enjoyed having Norm at Hazelton Place for the last (almost) 8 years. He was a positive, caring man, who would enjoy taking lots of photos of others and sometimes of himself, when we could convince him to be included! Always wanting to make others feel comfortable, a true gentleman. He was brave; learning to play bridge recently; a challenge, to say the least. Our residents, staff and management will miss him. Condolences to his family.
