Franc was my first supervisor and, more importantly, friend, when I joined the Ontario Public Service in 1980. He was exceptionally kind and intelligent, with a warm sense of humour. His ability to quickly connect with and mentor people of all ages was outstanding. He welcomed me to the workplace and wisely guided me toward a lifelong career with the Ontario government. He exemplified public service, hard work and generosity of spirit. It was clear that he loved his family deeply, and was always thrilled to share news of their many achievements. Michele, Sandi and Andrej, I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this wonderful man with the world.
