Larry was a really good guy. I learned of his passing only today (April 19). We shared a lot of wild and crazy times studying together at Queen's way back when. Very sorry to learn that he's no longer with us. My condolences to the family.

Laura, Chris, and Leigh- I am so very sorry for your loss. I was lucky to work with Larry for 10+ years. Larry led by example with his work ethic, integrity, and honesty. He never wanted attention or accolades for himself but he always deserved it. One of my favorite memories is how much he enjoyed the Ciena golf event benefiting Centraide that we participated in every year. He advised me in great detail on the best golf shirts to order and what other items we should have at the event. He will be missed at Celestica. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

One behalf of the Ciena/Celestica Team here in Thailand we all mourn the loss and are deeply saddened by Larry's passing. Although we didn't get to see him often, we engaged with him on a daily basis, really making him part of our family. His passing is a void, which will never be filled and we all think of him often with soft smiles on our faces.
We want to offer our deepest condolences to his family as our hearts go out to them during this difficult time of mourning.

Dear Laura and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Larry's death. He and I were classmates in high school. Larry, his cousin Kerry, and friends Cathy and I, spent many an hour whiling away "spare" over laughs in the cafeteria. We crossed paths less often at Queen's -Larry was pretty busy earning his iron ring (and dropping into Clark Hall!). I am so happy to know he had such a beautiful family and successful professional life after Queen's.
Sincerely,
Ann (Huntley) Garrett

Dear Laura and family
My deepest condolences for this terrible loss. Larry was a friend to me and when I joined his team approximately 10 years ago, he was a great mentor to me. He’s always been full of life and fun to chat with.
A few months ago when my mom suddenly passed away in her sleep, he was genuinely interested in the details and our conversation helped me in my healing process.
I wish you strength as you go through this painful process and my thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
Your friend and thinking of you,
Michael Eslamian

My deepest condolences to Laura, Leigh, Christopher and the rest of the family. It was a terrible shock when I heard the news. I've known Larry since he started at Celestica and we worked together on and off during that time. He really was a great, fun loving guy. One of my favourite memories was from our days in Memory (mid 90's) when we went to Canada's Wonderland for a "Function Day". We were peer managers under John Sloan and the three of us decided to try the Skycoaster, a ride where you're harnessed up, attached to a long cable, hauled to the top of a tower and dropped in a free-fall to the ground. You then swing back and forth like a pendulum until it comes to a stop. We thought that the team would enjoy seeing members of their leadership helplessly hanging in mid-air (we were right)! It was one of the highlights of the day and Larry and I talked about it all the time. I'm really going to miss him.
Rest in peace, Larry.
