It is sad that my Mom is the last one left of the 7 brothers and sisters but I am happy for Bill (I will always think of him as Willie) that his pain has ended. Marie you hold a special place in my heart as my last living aunt .I saw first hand what an incredible wife you were.! I saw how you did everything you could to make his life the best it could be from the moment he became sick. When I took you to do the grocery shopping I saw the care you took to get just the right things to make his favorite foods. You have your own health issues but you put him first and pushed your way past your difficulties. My Mom use to speak about you all the time and how lucky he was to have someone like you to care for him.
Willie will always be in my heart as my moms soft spoken little brother who always had a welcoming smile for me,his busy, annoying little niece.I remember the sisters telling stories about their little brothers Willie and Richie and the things they would get up to.Your Dad and Ritchie seemed to be so much younger than the rest. I thought they would be here for ever.Sadly it didn't happen like that and now at 100 my Mom is the last of the brothers and sisters.
Steven you were and are a great son! Your Mom is lucky to have you there to see her through this sad time.Your Dad was a warm and caring man loved so very much by his brothers and sisters (especially Irene who thought of him as "her little boy" well into his 80's).
I will keep you both in my prayers that you will find comfort in knowing that Bills ordeal is over with. All my love,Shirley
