Obituary of Liisa (Pirkko) Hakkinen

In Memory of Liisa (Pirkko) Hakkinen 1949 – 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Liisa (Pirkko) Hakkinen announces her passing on September 12 2019 in Scarborough Ontario Canada.

Liisa will be lovingly remembered by her mother Aili Amanda, her beloved twin brother Markku and sister Marjut from Finland and their spouses and children, and her other beloved twin brothers Arto and Rejio also from Finland and their spouses and children.

Born on May 9 1949 in Juva Finland, Liisa and her mother Aili came to Canada on January 22 1957 residing in Montreal than later moved to Scarborough Ontario on July 2 1981.

Liisa started with BMO Bank of Montreal on August 18 1972 and worked for them for 28 years. After leaving BMO on October 10th 2000 as a Senior Analyst in the IT department, she then started with the Hudson’s Bay Company in June 2002 and after 14 years she left Hudson’s Bay on February 20 2014.

Liisa had a wonderful loving heart with a great sense of humor and a positive attitude on Life. She was Inspirational. She loved her cat Nette and her mum’s cat Monso and with such love and care they both lived to the age of 23 years old.

She will also be forever loved and missed by her close friends, Vicki Chan and Marion Rohatynski.
