We will always have such fond memories of her, Liz was always so very warm, sincere and welcoming. We wish you and your family comfort and the warmth of the support from you family and friends to help you through this very difficult time.

To the Kukulowicz/GIll family,
Liz and I were friends as undergrads at Harvard. She was a star who succeeded there so effortlessly. Whip smart, kind, warm, and fun, Liz was a loyal friend with a great sense of humor.
Later, in 2011-2013 when I was in Toronto regularly on business, Liz and I met for lunch two or three times to catch up on mutual friends and family and to share networking leads. My strong impression was that she was immensely proud and supportive of everyone in her family. Though she was a talented and accomplished professional, her family came first. She was clearly a loving, insightful, and committed mom, wife, daughter, and sister.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Liz was a very special person, and I'm proud and grateful to have called her a friend.
May you all remember the good times you had with Liz. May she rest in peace.
With heartfelt condolences,
Chris Esmonde

Hello Mr. Kukulavicz,
I am the mother of Ege Altinoglu, who is also in Grade 8 at UCC.
We lost my husband 2 years ago and we deeply share your pain. Ege wants to talk to Ryan to say that he could be a shoulder any time Ryan needs.
I am celebrating Liz's life and am sure that she will continue to be proud with her children.
All the best

Liz was an incredibly vibrant, positive person, bright and full of energy, with the most infectious, rueful laugh. She was one of those people who bring sunshine wherever they go. For several years when Ryan was little our boys were best friends, and I got to know Liz as that rare mom who seemed both amused and genuinely delighted by motherhood after so many years as a super-achiever in the corporate world. She took huge pleasure in her kids --their personalities and quirks, not just their achievements and potential -- and she had zero time for negativity or snarky parents. While she wanted the best for her kids, she had her own big life and stellar accomplishments, and didn't need to live through her children. Instead, she enjoyed them. She approached motherhood with a kind of magical blend of curiosity, determination and fun, and Ryan's kindness, self-discipline and strong moral compass speak directly to what a wonderful, loving, encouraging mother she was. I last saw her in 2017, right before I moved back to the US, and she was full of stories about Ryan and the most recent twists and turns in her own career. It is difficult to accept that such a lively, warm, charismatic and generous spirited person is gone, and I am grateful to have known her. Shayne, Halle, Caitlyn and especially Ryan, you are all in my thoughts today. Liz loved all of you more than anything.

I met Liz through the Harvard Club, where we volunteered as applicant interviewers. She was fun, vivacious, energetic, and down-to-earth. I am so saddened. We have lost a gracious and giving colleague. My condolences to her family and friends.

I had the privilege of standing in for Liz at Childhood Cancer Canada as Interim CEO while she fought her battle. CCC was her Foundation, and she loved it. She became my inspiration and my hero. She and Shayne defined courage. Every single time we spoke, or met, I gained energy and hope. I had never met anyone like her. I always thought she would beat this, and would come back to work, I truly did. She just had this amazing persona. What an honour to know her. My condolences to Shayne and her family.
