Dear Janette,
So sorry to hear of the loss of dear Jack. We have so many delightful memories of moments shared "en famille" in Montreal, at Temple House in Ireland and in England. I so loved listening to Jack and Daddy sparring away, debating the news of the day and laughing uproariously - they so enjoyed each other's company. I do take solace in the wish that somewhere, they are now regaling each other once more!

To Janette and family:
Mary and I just landed in Florida and read with sadness about Jack.
Over the years, I interviewed hundreds of people. One of the most memorable interviews was my first meeting with Jack!
His resume was extraordinary with a list of his favourite movies, books and sports. We could have talked for hours.
We kept in touch by having lunch at the New York Deli on Bay St. and together attempted to solve the nation’s problems.
Part of the fun was disagreeing on the political scene and we had many a good laugh. It was so enjoyable.
One thing we never disagreed about was the brilliance and capabilities of his delightful wife who was much admired and respected by so many.
I feel very privileged to know you both!
