Dear Diane, Claude, Family and Friends,
Beth was a wonderful person. She was always optimistic and encouraging and was a great support to my mother when she was going through difficult times.
When there was an opportunistic developer that tried to threaten Norwood and our community, she attended every Oro-Medonte planning and counsel meeting she could, despite her age and health. While most others were saying to give up the fight, she persisted and encouraged me to continue at what was a very dark time in my life.
Her strength gave me the strength to persevere, and will be forever grateful.
I'm so sorry we were sick, and unable to attend the memorial service, but I hope my parents' presence was some consolation.
All our Love,
PJ, Paula and Mila

Dear Donna and Diane...Your mother was such a lovely woman. She was so very kind whenever she came in, and always had a way of putting you at ease wit her sense of humour and down to earth thinking. I know she is in a better place but will be so missed by her family and friends and anyone who was lucky to have known her. My deepest sympathy.

Dear Diane,
Your mother was an original. She had a directness about her and yet she was always a lady. I loved her laugh. She was insightful and intelligent. She loved horse races and horoscopes, the water and the sun, and books. Especially books. Reading was a passion as was writing. Your mother was reading Margaret Atwood before barely anyone knew of her! I remember one day she looked at the over of a book I was reading and exclaimed, "What a shame!" When I asked why, she replied I was beginning with his best work.
Your mother was a wise woman. She knew enough to give us our space when after a long walk we would sit and chat over many cups of tea and pieces of chocolate.
Your mother was blessed with a loving, caring family.
Yes, you will miss your mother but when you think of her you will not remember her as she was in her illness. Instead you will remember her as the vibrant, exciting, loving person she truly was.

Dear Diane and Donna I’m sending condolences on behalf of myself and Audrey, Claude and the Newfoundland family. As you know Aunt Beth would visit us in Newfoundland and stay at Maw’s house. I have so many wonderful memories of her from when I was a little girl. What stays with me is her humour, positive energy and her laughter. My dearest memory of Aunt Beth is when she sang Que Sera Sera to me whilst hanging out the laundry on the clothesline at Maw’s. She was beautiful and strong to me.

The loss of a loved one is never easy. I recall how Diane looked forward to the times she spent with her Mom at the cottage. Keep those fond memories close to your heart and smile when they appear.
My deepest sympathy.

Dear Donna, Tom, Diane, Claude & Shannon, Aunt Beth was a very special lady as was Uncle Ron. Kind, generous and funny. They extended their generosity to our family on many occasions and I'm very grateful for that. I have very special memories of our times at the cottage, playing games outside in the beautiful colour of fall leaves and riding in their magnificent boat. It was also at their cottage that I first experienced walking across a frozen lake on Lake Simcoe. Your parents sure knew how to entertain. They were both the epitome of grace. I'm taking comfort knowing that they are together carrying on where they left off.

Dear Diane, Claude Donna, Tom & Shannon. Deepest condolences to you all. Wishing you peace and comfort at this time.
Aunt Beth holds a very dear and special place in my heart and soul. We have the fondest memories of times spent with her. As a young girl on trips to Florida and NL, as well as many many memories of times spent at the cottage, their home on New Years Day and at the farm. Aunt Beth and Uncle Ron’s were the most gracious hosts. I will take comfort knowing they are reunited in the loving arms of their lord.
Love Kim, Ron & family xo
