My deepest sympathies to Bill’s family and friends. He will be missed.
Most of you knew him as Bill, but to me, he was always affectionately known as Mr. G. I was ten years old when I walked into a little bungalow on Marlee Avenue, stepped into the living room, to see this man, who would be my music teacher, standing in front of the biggest piano I had ever seen. After a short lecture...he sat down to play....and I will never forget it. I remember thinking “I want to play the piano just like Mr. G.” He was so very talented and the most brilliant person I knew. He started out as my music teacher and over the course of 47 years, became my friend. His love of music, travel, Mathematics, and Languages was evident to anyone he spoke to. He was a life long learner and worked diligently to get his degree and then a Masters at U of T. I will miss our talks and he will always be in my prayers! God Bless. Carla Wilson
