Barry was one of the first members of the Canadian Picture Pioneers who extended a warm welcome to me when I became a member. He was a very kind person, always with a smile on his face. I was fortunate enough to greet and shake Barry's hand at our last awards night a few weeks ago. Not knowing that it would be the last time.
I was able to take a few photos, at that time, of Barry and some of his close friends, again, always with a smile.
My deepest condolences to Barry's family.
