VERA UESSON

Vera passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the age of 97 years. Loving mother of Evi (Tom) and Rein (Ene). Grandmother to Martin (Alison), Lisa (Paul), Tuula and Laani (Vincent) and very proud great-grandmother to Kaeden and Finn. Predeceased by husband Augustin.

Born in Estonia, Vera grew up in the city of Tallinn. There, she also met and married her husband Augustin. During the war, they made the courageous decision to flee the Soviet occupation of the beloved homeland to travel to a

country where they could live freely. After a few years in Sweden, they moved to Canada to build a new life and raise their family.

Vera was a piano teacher for almost 50 years and was still teaching until her late 80’s. She loved going to the opera, theatre and ballet. Her love of music carried through her life and she inspired many to pursue and enjoy music throughout their lives.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) on Saturday, December 7^th from 10:00 a.m. until the service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Condolences may be made through www.humphreymiles.com.
