MARIA ERCOLANI-FISHLEIGH
(nee FACCHINI)
July 1, 1926 – November 2, 2019
It is with deep sorrow that her family announces the death of Maria on Saturday, at Humber River Hospital, Toronto.
Born in Balsorano, Aquila, Italy; beloved daughter of the late Sabatino Facchini and Angela Tersigni.
Predeceased by husbands Paolo Ercolani (1989) and Harold F. Fishleigh (1998).
Cherished mother of Antonio “Tony,” Luigi “Nino/Steve,” Stella and the late Giovanni “Johnny” Ercolani (2003).
Loving grandmother of Adrian (Monika) and Emma Ercolani.
Survived by siblings Luigia “Gina” (the late Domenico) Porretta, Vincenzo (the late Maria) Facchini, Giulia (the late Nicola) D’Ambrosio, Flora (the late Franco) DiPoce and Silvana (the late Donato) Morra.
Also survived by sisters-in-law Vincenza (the late Liberato) Ercolani of Woodbridge, Ontario and Lucia (the late Gioacchino) Ercolani of Pisa, Italy.
She will be missed by many loved nieces, nephews and godchildren, as well as numerous relatives and friends in Canada and around the world.
The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8th.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9th at St. Monica’s Church,
44 Broadway Avenue, Toronto, M4P 1T4
