I was saddened to read about Bryan's passing. I only came to know about this recently. I worked with Bryan when I was with C&L in Toronto. He taught me about the importance of developing relationships with clients and to have real interest in them -not just at audit time but all the time. He used to send me pages and pages of minutes of meetings from the clients to read. It was some years later that I saw the real benefit of this. He was ahead of this time. He was always cheerful; always had a smile and never seemed to be stressed.
I left Canada in 1992 but always hoped that I would be able to return and meet with him and other C&L partners from that generation.
He used to tell me about Mary and Andrew. He adored both. My deepest though late condolences to both of you.

Dear Mary and Andrew
My sincere condolences to you both on the passing of Bryan. Bryan's name came to mind after many years, as recently I found a small Christmas card tucked in a book that was maybe given to Bryan, although I don't think so. It may have slipped in there some other way. It was a card addressed to him, and it made me look on the internet to see if I could find out something. I am so very sorry to see that he has passed away and for your loss. I knew that he met you Mary and that you got married and had a son.
Bryan and I dated for about four years when I was in my mid-twenties. I know what a special man he was and am glad that he found joy and contentment in his life
with you both.
Again, my sincere condolences.

Bryan Graham was a friend of my dad from his Camp Pinecrest days. My dad chose his friends well. Bryan was always in good cheer, a kind and generous man. We would often see him at the Toronto symphony where he and my dad shared season tickets. He was on the TSO board of directors and would sometimes allow us access to the Green room to see the performers. I remember being at his house in Toronto the day Kelly Gruber hit for the cycle. We played road hockey with his son Andrew.
Bryan would attend the Ashenhurst family picnic, and spoke at my dad’s funeral. A lover of wine, it was fitting that my last message to him was to thank him for the bottle of wine he gave us at the picnic, and to tell him we drank it at the cottage with the family.
There is a second bottle of wine he gave us, as yet unopened. We will drink it tonight, and toast the memory of a cherished friend for a life well lived. Farewell Bryan. The Ashenhurst family will miss you.

I knew Bryan through his board work, first at Opera Atelier (when OA was part of Creative Trust) and then at Summer Music (when he, as a very senior and experienced board member, regularly attended Toronto Arts Foundation's workshops for arts board members.) Bryan was a tremendous board member - highly committed and involved, and very generous in lending his considerable skills to the cause. But what I will never forget is his optimism and kindness: I've saved many of his gracious and warm notes of thanks through the years, and was always delighted to see him at music and other events. He was a very special man, and I will miss him - as so many others will. With great sympathy to his family.

A kinder, more generous bon vivant and friend would be hard to find. Sharing wine and good food and good times with Bryan and Mary in France was a pleasure and an honor.
I am delighted to honor him by contributing to the YMCA camp, knowing that Bryan's early character-building camp experiences stayed with him all his life.

I knew Bryan at C&L when I moved to Toronto from the UK in the 1980's, and worked for him for a number of years as a manager on a number of his insurance clients. He was always cheerful and would always make time to chat with the staff and I out at the client, more often than not about personal stuff (like the arts, travel and wine!) rather than work. It was clear Bryan valued his personal relationships with clients and staff and always made the effort to get to know people at a personal level. It was from Bryan I got to know a bit more about wine and how to deal with the LCBO as, on a "new release" day, he would on occasion come into the C&L bullpen and round up a few of us idle staff to drive down to the LCBO so we could all buy wine on his behalf and enable him to beat the LCBO restriction of 3 bottles pp on that particular release of French wine. He will be missed by many. Our deepest sympathies to Mary, Andrew and the family

I was saddened and shocked to hear about the lose of Mr. Graham. Each time I saw him at the UCT, my day was made brighter with the many enlightening conversations that the two of us shared. Much of what we talked about was music. He lived for music and I continue to do so, as well. Mr. Graham, I will miss you greatly and will never forget you.
May God be with you, Mrs. Graham and to those who are also feeling the loss of your husband.

I was saddened to learn of Bryan's passing this morning. My deepest and sincere sympathy goes out to Mary and Andrew and the whole Graham family.
I first met Bryan at Actra Fraternal in 1986 where he made a presentation to our Admin and Finance Committee. He filled the room with confidence and professionalism - we hired Coopers and they continue to this day to remain the auditors for Fraternal. He was always involved, interested, and passionate and made everyone feel engaged in the audit process. No detail went unnoticed or unturned - he was a stickler for accuracy. In 2004 Bryan was invited to serve on the SMARTRISK Foundation board where I worked as Director of Operations. He served the organization well for many years. He helped shape strategy and focus and became engaged in the struggle to raise the profile of injury prevention in Canada. Through all these years Bryan and I met many times to exchange ideas, frustrations and friendship. I was most privileged to have been associated with Bryan, he was certainly one of a kind.
I was always amazed at Bryan's many interests and impressed with his deep involvement in so many organizations and community cultural institutions where he certainly made a difference.
Again my deepest sympathy to Mary and Andrew...two people he always talked about.

We are shocked and saddened to hear of Bryan’ sudden passing . Bryan was gifted and lived as a true gentleman, a superb conversationalist, hospitable, always interesting . We enjoyed our visits with Bryan ,Mary and the Evans on occasion in recent years.. heard much about their times in southern France . Regrettably , we are unable to attend in person , given we are out of country . Our thoughts of Bryan ,a life well lived , we extend to Mary at this time .

Sorry to hear of Bryan Graham's passing. I knew Bryan from Coopers and Lybrand as well as PwC. I helped him with his computer questions and it was always great to speak with him about France and his travels. I was looking forward to meeting up with him at our annual Xmas lunch with the wonderful partners at Cooper's...he will be missed and may he rest in peace.

I knew Bryan as a partner of Coopers&Lybrand/PwC. While I did not know him well, he always was generous with his time. He would take the time to engage with staff and his partners. He was truly interested in staff and his partners point of view. A gesture that speaks to his nature. My condolences to Bryan's family and friends. I hope that fond memories will comfort you in Bryan's passing.

Remembering Bryan with great fondness. His kindness and contribution to the Barbados office of Coopers & Lybrand will never be forgotten. Bryan pioneered the Staff Training program for the C&L offices of Barbados and the Caribbean, giving unselfishly of his time to provide material and coaching classes for several years as we established our in-house training, still with his oversight from Toronto. He was always just a phone call away.......
Bryan's hospitality when we visited the Toronto office was splendid. He made sure his Bajan friends were always well taken care of.
I last saw Bryan several years ago, on what would have been his last visit to Barbados. As always, he was his warm and fun self to be with.
I extend my sincere condolences to Mary and Andrew and to all his many friends who loved him.
Thanks so much Bryan for being a friend.
May he Rest In Peace.

My heart goes out to you Mary and Andrew. I first met Bryan around 1973 when he came to lead the education program with Coopers and Lybrand in Barbados (where I was living) and we immediately enjoyed each other's company. His warm generosity when my wife and I moved to Toronto in 1975 demonstrated Bryan's friendship which has grown and continued over the last 40 odd years. Although for much of that time I have lived some distance from Bryan and Mary we have always stayed in touch and got together whenever possible. I will miss his big heart, big laugh and easy friendship.
