To immediate and extended members of Jem's family, please accept our deepest sympathies.
Living here in the UK, my brother Michael and I did not have the level of contact with Jem that you shared, however we both know of the fine contribution of joy, care and support she gave to her family and the many people she looked after in her professional career in nursing. Like our own mother, and so many others of Jem's generation, she embraced nursing and care provision as a matter of trust that extended far beyond working hours. Andrew's memories of meeting Jem, Joy, Sarah and Samantha in 1986 when he visited Scarborough is still strong and enduring.
While we unfortunately cannot attend Jem's service in person we both wish to give thanks and blessings to Jem, and offer our sincere condolences to all who celebrated her life.
