I clearly remember Willi (and Joan) for his warm and gracious friendship to my Dad, living in the neighbouring cottage for many, many years.
Willi always had time to socialize with family members and friends that visited that memorable Fraserburg cottage, which was a major part of my life for 50+ years. Matt and Mackenzie also enjoyed the Willi's kindness and wit.
Thank you Joan, for sharing Willi with us, we (the Vanderhydens) all appreciate being able to share so many amazing, cottage life experiences with you and Willi.
He will be missed with a tear, but remembered with a smile.

Dear, dear Joan. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. (That sounds like a cliche, but those words are quite fitting, I think.) You will never know how often I have thought of you, mostly because of all the stupid grammar errors in all arms of the media; drives me nuts. But now my thoughts follow another avenue, imagining how much you are grieving now. I fondly remember the visits I had with you and Willi at your cottage and my good first--and lasting--impressions of your dear husband.
