Dear Rosemarie and family
I returned from Montreal Saturday evening to learn that Angelo had passed on. It seems like only yesterday that I saw him with you at my cousin Marie Calderone's wake. It had been many years since I had seen both of you since I had only recently moved back to Toronto.
I do remember however, Angelo's joyful spirit. That memory goes back to when we were young. I know that he often dropped in to visit my sister Josephine when she was living.
Assuredly, Angelo not only sees his God whom he loved so deeply but that God's love continues to embrace him.. That said, in spite of our faith, it is always too soon to see our loved ones pass on.
Thinking of you with sympathy. May your special memories of your life together bring you comfort.
Marie Azzarello, CND

We'd like to offer our condolences to you Rosemarie and the family. Angelo would enter a room and immediately be able to befriend every one in his presence. He had a big smile and extremely happy personality with a heart of gold. He was a special person who was able to make you feel happy. Angelo embodied the best there could be in a person. God Bless and Rest in Peace...

I spent just a brief amount of time with Mr. Comella, but he left a strong impression. I'll always remember his warmth and friendliness, his and Rosemarie's kindness in driving Mike and me home after Steave and Nancy's wedding, and especially how proud he was of the bride and groom on that happy day.
With love to Rosemarie, Anita, Steave, Nancy, Liam, Sophie and the extended family.

I came to meet Angelo ("Ange") by way of his (and my best friend) Steaven. I don't know if it was the first time that I visited the home on Clansman but I remember the warm welcome. "Hi Mike, How are you? Would you like some red pop? Perhaps a slice of cheddar cheese?" Red pop turned out to be a healthy glass of cranberry juice and I would come to think of him a the "Red Pop" man from then on.
If Ange had bought some apples it meant he had bought two bushels worth and you could be sure to go home with a bag full. This applied to just about everything, his generosity and kindness was unsurpassed, as was his optimism about life and the human spirit. My love goes out to his wife Rosemarie, his children Anita and Steave, grandkids Liam and Sophia and the extended family both near and far. I will never forget him and the positive influence he had on those he met. Love Mike

My acquaintance with the Comella family was as a young paperboy for the Toronto Telegram starting from the age of ten in 1953 for about 5 years. I delivered to Sunkist Fruit Market, and Angelo and the Comella family members were warm, friendly, kind and always with a great sense of humour. I'm sorry to here of his passing.

I am very sorry to hear about Angelo. My sincere condolences to you all.
I have known Angelo since I was 3 years old, I am now 70. My family used to walk by Sunkist Market every week and Angelo would always ask me if I wanted an apple, peach or plum, whatever was good that day. He was a sweet and gentle man who loved family. I was pleased to be able to rekindle my relationship with Angelo about 20 years ago when I recognized him in a Grocery store. Since then I have seen him and Rosemarie every year when I delivered a calendar to them. Truly a lovely man.I will miss him.

Remember Angelo when we would go to Toronto to see our grandparents Jack Comella and go down to the store to see Uncle Sam.

When I think of Uncle Ange, I’m reminded of several things. He would show us black and white movies on a sheet tacked up on the wall at the cottage. I see him sitting at the table in his kitchen reading the paper or peeling some sort of fruit to eat. And I remember his sparkly eyes and rosy cheeks when he laughed. I’m sure he will show up at the pearly gates with a basket of fruit and a potted plant of some sort.
He was a special man and will be missed. Love to his family-Auntie Rose, Anita, and Steve ❤️

My sincere condolences to Rosemarie, Anita and Steaven on the passing of Angelo. His generosity was unparalleled, and was always punctuated by a gift basket of food or a kind word. My wish is for the Comellas and the Grimaldis to celebrate Angelo's very full life and legacy, surrounded by good stories and, of course, music.

So very sorry to hear about Angie's passing. I remember his generosity while I was growing up, and the baskets of fruit and vegetables that were often dropped off on our porch. My thoughts are with you at this time.
