Members of the Thomson family,
I was recently advised of the death of Mary’s mother. I remember Mrs. Thomson very well. She was very kind to me and always made me feel welcome in her home no matter what the circumstances. I remember a party in the backyard of the family house. I was a bartender though I had no experience at all being one. Mrs Thomson (whom I think was chicly dressed in a 1920’s style). She encouraged me to no end and politely corrected my drink mixing errors. She had a great spirit.

Dear Dick
We are so very sorry to hear about Heather. You both seemed in great spirits at Lost Tree when we last saw you .
You both were part of our decision to look at Lost Tree after the political life. I remember Huck taking us to the old beach club for dinner with you and the Scotts. So we would see that we knew lots of people there.
Heather was so talented,feisty,and and a great partner in your long career. She was so interested in art,politics,you name it. A wonderful person to have beside you at dinner parties!
You will miss her greatly,as will your children and grandchildren. But memories are forever and you have a lifetime of them to sustain you in the coming years.
We are out in BC with our whole family fishing. So we are sorry we can’t say goodbye on Monday , but we will be thinking of you .
