We trust that as each day goes by, you will be comforted by remembering cherished memories of your beloved, and feel less sorrow at her physical absence. May the friendships and love of those around you bring solace and peace in the days ahead, and may you feel the Comforter’s gentle touch in the coming months. I would occasionally bump into Mrs. Sampson on The Danforth, and we would have a good catch-up on the sidewalk; I would also get an invite to stop by for a delectable goody … her stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls were amazing! It was also such a wonderful surprise to bump into her on Mother’s Day last year. Mrs. Sampson has received her promotion glory … resting in the loving arms of her Saviour.

My condolences to all who loved Mennen. She was a valued part of our community at Riverdale Presbyterian Church, and on Sunday mornings she always had a smile on her face (and a cake in her hands). I am sorry not to be able to be with you as you celebrate her life and faith, but please know that I am there in spirit!
