I worked with Clayton at Simpsons for many years. I remember how kind he was, always a gentleman and supportive to his colleagues. When I was contemplating buying my first house, Clayton was very encouraging and shared stories about the house he bought with Don. For many years we stayed in touch through his and Don's Christmas newsletters which I always enjoyed reading.
I am so sorry to hear of Clayton's passing. My sincere condolences to Don, Clayton's family and friends.

Dear Don
We are so sad to hear of Clayton's passing. He was such a sweet man and we always enjoyed playing euchre with both of you. We're sorry that we didn't hear in time to attend Clayton's Celebration of Life...a life well lived to be sure.
Hugs,
Linda & Marilyn

Don and Clayton's family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I feel terrible that I on just now heard the news. I am sorry that I was not able to participate in the celebration of life and at least given you a hug in person.
Clayton was an exceptional person, a loyal friend and a joy to spend time with.
Clayton always had a ready smile, a welcoming demeanor and truly seemed to embrace life in such a positive way.
I think I will most miss Clayton's laugh coupled with the mischievous twinkle in his eyes when he was on a roll.
Heck, I will even miss him beating me at euchre.
Don, I can't imagine what a hole this leaves in your life. What I do know is that your faith is strong and you have a large close knit group of friends and family who will help see you through this tough time.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do to help you.
Love,
Randy.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Clayton. I work for the United Church and have visited Clayton and Don in their lovely home in Toronto. I am also sorry that I didn't get to go to the service today. If I had know before it took place I surely would have attended. I'm sure it was a great celebration of a life well lived. Please accept on behalf of myself and the General Council's Office our sincere condolences. Know that we will keep all those whom were closest to Clayton in our thoughts and prayers.

Don and Mino,
Clayton did not go away. He walks beside you/us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear. So, for you/us, There are no goodbyes because wherever he is, he will always remain in your/our hearts.

Clayton will be sadly missed on Nine Mile Lake. He and Don were a caring support for my mother, Helen Rodman, after my dad Del Rodman died in 1978. We have been cottage neighbours since the mid-fifties. Hope family is coping well and will continue cottage life
