Several years back Dr. Griffith was Retreat Leader at RMC for military chaplains. He was an inspiring speaker and presented many thoughts and ideas, but was engaging and participative as well. I recall how he frequently would ask,"What do you folks think? You have been in the ministry and the trenches a long time!"
He truly wished to learn from us, as well as instruct.
Sincere sympathy extended to his family and friends. He was a wonderful example of a dedicated and sincere friend of Jesus Christ.
Hi Merelie
I learned of Leonard’s passing at Wycliffe College yesterday and have tried to reach you. You know that I am an Anglican Priest today because of his love of God proclaimed. I treasure his hand-written note to me, his encouragement along the way and his many conversations. I mourn his passing and his spirit will continue to inspire me in preaching God’s authoritative Word.
May he Rest In Peace and rise with Christ in glory!
Love Connie Phillipson
My heart along with many, many others is broken in the knowledge that Dr. Griffith has passed away. My heart goes out to Mrs. Griffith and indeed the whole family.
He was truly a great servant of the Lord. He was such a GREAT preacher. I shall always remember his sermons. On top of that he was a really nice gentleman.
"Well done good and faithful servant".
Love,
Regina
