Dr Hooey was a very good Hematologist-Internist. I was a medical resident at the Wellesley Hospital in Toronto for 2 years and remember her well. She was very knowledgeable and very compassionate. Even though I was on a path to a Cardiology career I learnt a lot from her. This was almost 40 years ago but I can still remember cases we discussed and her observations which were always so pertinent and always correct.
So sorry to hear of her passing and her final illness. MH.

My deepest sympathy.Mary Ann was the greatest. She and Lynn and 19 of our classmates spent a postgraduate year with me at Shaughnessy hospital, Vancouver in 1960.She was our “house mother” in the interns’ quarters.
I will always remember her sense of humour and good fellowship.

So very sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. Loach. My deepest condolences to Mary, Elizabeth, David, Peter, and their families. She was so kind and tolerant or us as wild children and moody teens. Always welcoming us in at Golfdale with a smile and offer of her delicious baking. Truly generous to the core. Rest in peace.

I was saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Mary Ann Loach. She and Dr. Lynn Loach were friends and great supporters of my father (Canon Hugh Bedford-Jones) when they were all at St. Simon’s Church Toronto. I had the pleasure of occasionally connecting with them both at St. Timothy’s.
I remember her in my prayers and on behalf of the Bedford-Jones family I express thanks for Mary Ann’s great witness and send our condolences.
May she rest In peace and rise, with. Christ, in glory.

Lynn and Mary Ann were neighbors in 1966 Lynn and Mary Ann helped diagnose my fathers deadly disease in 1977. WE shared numerous social gatherings, and Lynn's lovely dahlia garden and his battle with earwigs!!!
I was forced to move my car to avoid damage from falling walnuts during my last visit with them at Golfdale.
My memories remain and my condolences go to David, Peter, Elizabeth and Mary.
Jane and my son Steven have tried to stay in touch with Mary Ann through her struggle.
God bless Mary Ann!
