Dear Billie, Martha,; Bill Jr,; Tom and Sylvie; and Andy and Lori. I was surprised and saddened to hear of Bill's passing from my father, Evan Birks. I'm very sorry for your loss.
I will never forget Bill's infectious laugh whether it was at a family party or I accidentally ran into him on the TTC. He embodied the phrase "joie de vivre," and made a perfect Santa Claus/Stand-Up Comic /Magician after Christmas dinner at your house when I was a young girl. Most of all, I will always, always, always remember his crazy magic tricks for us kids while he simultaneous kept the adults laughing with his endless jokes after your family's annual Christmas dinners.
RIP, Bill. May you live on in the afterlife as fully and happily as you did in this life and may your family be comforted by the happy memories you left behind.
Sincere condolences,
Kristin

It has been a privilege to have known Bill and all his family. We enjoyed 3 wonderful vacations with Bill and Billy in Grenada and just this past February all the friends they made there were asking after them and wishing them well. Bill was a special person who welcomed all into his sphere even in his latter years. We extend to the whole family much love and we keep them in our thoughts at this time

Bill has been an outstanding Canadian in all his life's endeavors and a very good friend to all of us who worked with him. He has been exceptionally generous to others throughout his life and especially to Upper Canada College which all who are associated with the school very much appreciate. In the good old Noranda days he was a very positive member of the Board and a great help to many of us helping build a wonderful Canadian Company. The last time I saw Bill was about 18 months ago at lunch at The York Club where we had some good memories of Noranda.
Billie and Bill were close neighbours of ours and we always appreciated being included in their parties on Russell Hill Road. To all the Wilder family we extend our sympathy but also the pride for you all in being of a family life with Bill, a life very well lived.

We live in St Andrews, NB, an amazing seaside resort town in Southwestern NB, blessed in summer by good weather, sea air, an active cultural and social life style magnified for all by the influx of seasonal home owners like Bill and Billie Wilder. We will miss Bill's participation in local activities such as sailing Passamaquoddy Bay and supporting local charities especially the Huntsman Marine Science Centre with which I am associated. Sincere condolences to you Billie and your large family. And smooth sailing to you Bill !
