It is with great sorrow we have just learned of Chuck's passing and wish to send our sincere condolences to his family who we know he loved with all his heart.
We met Chuck & Susie in Mulmur and always enjoyed their outstanding annual Pheasant shoots & luncheons. His charm, grace and ability to chat easily with anyone about anything, was an attribute too few possess today.
When we moved to Vancouver Island in 2002 and Chuck & Susie visited a year or so later for a few days, they kindly agreed to walk our property and give some landscaping advice: Those suggestions are the reasons our grounds have flourished and developed with the diverse & interesting features we showcase today - almost as magnificent as those of their Boyne Mill property. On that visit, we'll never forget the rip-roaring time the four of us enjoyed over drinks & dinner, and then walking them to the cottage on our property to the tune of "Onward Christian Soldiers!" Oh what a night!

One of our most favourite photos of Chuck at the beginning of his October 1999 Mulmur Pheasant Hunt. Afterward, he and Susie would graciously entertain their guests with the finest foods and beverages and always a dash of wit & elegance. With much love & affection, Doug & Deborah McKinley

I am sorry to hear of Charles' death but delighted to learn whatever has happened to him. We were great friends
at UBC living together at Union College. After graduation we lost contact, & I often wondered whatever happened to him after all these years. I never knew he went to Harvard. I was envious of his one pip commission in the COTC.
He originally joined the Armoured Corps but was re-badged to the Service Corps for Medical Reasons.
We actually bought a motor car together. He came home with me to Vancouver Island one Easter.
He was a prominent fencer, winning a Big Block Letter at UBC. I think his younger brother was also a fencer of renown. Anyway, I am pleased to hear that he had a loving family& a distinguished career.
I am delighted to have known him & I wish his family all the best!

Chuck asked me to join the firm in 1973 as an investment analyst. He had a brilliant mind and with Chris and Fred they made LOM a powerhouse on Bay Street in institutional equity trading. He was fair, had a keen sense of humour was fun to be with, He was a master at motivating people. I admired him and his passing is a sad event to a host of people who were part of LOM
