To Shirley and all your family, please accept our deepest sympathy for your great loss. Shirley, as you know, Ian and I shared many happy times with young Gavin at various times in our lives....skiing , paddling, culture seeking in Stratford and many dinner parties . Gavin was always such a gentleman , we will not soon forget him.
You have a great family to continue your life with. Do hope there are many more happy times for you all. Thinking about you. Love, Tatin and Ian

Although I do not know Mr. G.C. Clark.
I only know of his son, C.J.B. Clark. If Chris Clark is a chip of the old block, then both father and son are respected and illustrious leaders in their professions. Remember, O Lord our God, this Your servant, Gavin Christie Clark, who now stands before You in faith and hope of eternal life. Release him from his sins. Pardon, loose, and free him from all transgressions, voluntary and involuntary. Grant him to enjoy and to share in Your eternal happiness which You have prepared for all who loves You.
O Lord, to the soul of Your servant, Gavin Christie Clark, who has fallen asleep, grant rest in a place of light, a place of verdure, and a place of tranquility, from which pain, sorrow, and mourning has fled.
Be merciful, Lord, to Your servant. Look upon his faith than his works, and grant him rest with all Your saints.
May his memory be Eternal.
Sincere condolences to CJB Clark and his extended family.

Dear Shirley: I was greatly saddened to read Gavin's obit in today's paper. We traveled across the land so often together with such joy and close fellowship, all four of us and more. He will be very sadly missed, in particular by all those of us in the Naval family. I'm in and out of Sunnybrook these days seeing LCdr Moyra Haney, and it's sad I didn't know he was there, as happens too often. I would have visited. Blessings on you and my sincerest condolences. Fraser

The world has lost another trekker. It is with sadness that I read about Gavin's death. He and Shirley were great friends of my late in laws, Anne and John Wenzel, who would eagerly visit the Clarks for a weekend of trekking in the Collingwood area. My condolences to Gavin's family and hope that the fond memories offset this time of sadness.
