To my wonderful friend “THE DOC”
I will always cherish the almost 50 years that we laughed as we placed our weekly NFL wagers; or the happy times on the doubles court especially when I hit a winner off the frame only to have you look at me and say “MASSEY, you’ve got to be kidding, what kind of a shot was that;” Or the years when we had so much fun in the good old days at MYW.
What fond memories of a dear, caring person, a true gentleman who never had an unkind word to say. I will miss him so much. Rest peacefully and let’s carry on with the bets when it’s my turn to come upstairs. YA!!!

I had the privilege of serving with Tony Ross on the OPTrust Board of Trustees and will miss him greatly. He was a real gentleman, a truth-teller, and a very generous colleague. From his innovative work with provincial bonds in the 1990s through his leadership at Infrastructure Ontario and his service to OPTrust members, he gave so much back to the province and its citizens. I will miss his sparkling wit, and wisdom, and extend my sincere condolences to his family and all those who knew and loved him.

As part of Tony's extended family, I was privileged to know him and his lovely wife Ingrid. When I suffered a devastating injury to my leg 2 years ago, it was their generosity that allowed me to take advantage of a treatment that enabled me to continue to walk. That we have lost such a compassionate soul saddens me deeply.
My love and best wishes go out to Ingrid and the rest of the family; he will be sorely missed.

Tony was my father-in-law.
I think what stands out most to me about this witty, highly intelligent and athletic man was his devotion to his wife Ingrid. From the moment I began spending time with the family, the tenderness and affection he showed towards her struck me meaningfully, and the examples of this adoration for his precious "Beauts" are what I will remember most about him.

Ingrid and Family,
We were shocked and truly saddened to hear of Tony's passing. We think back to all the fun we have had at the Granite, Jesters parties, and squash tournaments over the years, especially in Portland all those years ago. He was a fine athlete, a lovely and generous friend and his sense of wry humour and wit beyond compare. We are sorry that we won't be in the country on the day of his Celebration of Life, but please know you are in our thoughts and we send you our deepest sympathy.

To Ingrid and family,
What a truly sad end to such a wonderful life. We shared so many funny and warm times over the years both in business and certainly the sports we enjoyed so much. Our small group shared so many fine outings at Toad Hall and the Granite and we all remember these intense but jovial competitions. A fine friend and I will miss him.
Sincerest condolences to you Ingrid, Ian and the family. We look forward to sharing remembrances at your May gathering.
Love to all,
Dan and Bev

Tony was really a one of a kind person and I think he’s left a lasting impact on many, many people. To me, Tony was like another father. Always offering his kind words and support, but also not afraid to lend a critical ear or punctuate his words with his dry wit. He really genuinely cared for so many people, and I feel blessed to have been a part of his life and his family. He was and will always be one of the most understanding and compassionate people I’ve ever had the privilege to know. Old man, you are inifinitely loved and will be sorely missed. The pups, my family and I are sending every bit of our love to the Ross clan.
