I met Frances a few years ago working together at CBC, and then again at 105.9 The Region. We talked about hockey and football. She always had a story to tell of her "agency" days. Missing you Frances ...

I had known of Frances Walker in my sister Debra’s life for a few years. She became a part of mine in 1993 when she and a colleague drove for many hours to the wilds of eastern Ontario to attend our mother’s funeral. Since that time, Frances attended many annual family get togethers, so much so, that even the young ones would ask, “Is Frances coming?” She could talk with anyone and always made her communication partners feel comfortable. I am sure the whole Forgeron clan would agree that we have been blessed to know her. Our condolences to her family.

I was so sorry to hear the news that Frances passed away . I had the pleasure of knowing Frances for almost 26 years . We shared a lot of good laughs and conversations and being her hairstylist I grew very fond of her visits to the salon .We talked endlessly for that hour and would cover so many relevant issues that touched her life from tennis to television soaps to city and world politics and anything else that was going concern in her life .
Opinionated and strong willed ,determined and reasonable and comical always . I know she suffered silently but never once did she lament. I will miss our time together and only wish that she can now rest peacefully . She will sadly be missed .. But we will always have the Y&R (she will understand) xx Sadly I will be unable to attend the visitation but my thoughts and prayers are with her sister Leslie and her family that saw her through .. RIP Frances .. Sandy and The Angst Hair Salon Team

Frances and I met at FCB in October 1979. The rest is history. Sporting events, concerts, beers at the Guv, movies, shared meals and tons and tons of coffees at Second Cup. Smart. Kind. Thoughtful. Patient. Funny. Unique. One in a million. I felt guilty talking about a cold while she never complained about her own health and many challenges. The Whipple kids cherished her. As did Willie and I. Lesley and family - I am sorry we had to lose her. Frances, I hope the Second Cup in Heaven serves you the perfect Flat White. Pat

So sad to hear of Frances' passing. Our families have known each other since we were little. My big brother was Frances' first babysitter - and fell asleep so soundly that little Frances had to climb out of bed to open the door for her parents. Frances was the excellent and enthusiastic coach of many of my younger brothers' teams. She will be missed.

For almost 30 years, Frances has been part of the fabric of my life. First as a client, then a colleague and always as a friend. She has been the faithful supportive person who always had time to listen, unfailingly seen my side and even when I was clearly wrong, provided the support I needed to get myself back to being right. She was grateful for every kindness shown to her and while firm in her beliefs, willing to try to understand others' opinions. You could disagree with her and still count on her calling the next day. Even as her health failed she never complained or resented that she was ill. I admired her stoicism as much as I valued her friendship. I will miss her greatly. My condolences to you Leslie, Ray, Andrew and Taylor.
