GREGORY CARL FABRO

December 3, 1935 – January 20, 2019

Peacefully in his sleep, and surrounded by his sons, Dad moved on to the next chapter in his incredible journey.

Loving husband to Karen of 53 years; dedicated father to Mark (Carin Jennifer Moffat), Michael and Jason (Olya Nekrasova); adored ‘Papa G’ to grandchildren Isabella and Roger; and devoted brother to Joan, Louise and Kathy. He is predeceased by his wife Karen; his parents Tony and Lucy; and sister Joan. Born in Winnipeg, Gregg graduated from Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba, followed by his MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, where he met Mom and they had their first dance.

A learned scholar and natural athlete, he was known as the guy who made everyone laugh. He had a story for every occasion and would captivate any room with his Toastmaster's charm. With an unparalleled thirst for adventure he did it all, from waiting tables in trans-Canada railcars to designing jet engines in Europe. He traveled the world, constantly fulfilling his passion to explore our family history and roots. He made friends for life, had a relentless passion for family and never compromised on values. With the kindest of hearts he had the strongest spirit anyone could have.

Many will miss him, but we smile knowing he is at peace dancing with Mom once more and forever.
