From the Roe Ave Fraser's,
The Kelly family with Charles "mostly in control" was our stability and friendship post.
We depended on Charles (and Shirley) for advice and thoughts on everything from neighbourhood issues, to child issues, to just about anything. He was our "go to guy"
Even at our Lake Mazinaw Camp, we could count on Charles and brother, Father Jack to help with any important rural operation problems!
It was a wonderful period in our lives knowing and living on Roe Ave with the Kelly's. Our families, our children and their children had numerous fun times together and we attribute much of this to Charles.
Charles was a fine man, sad to hear of his passing - our condolences to Shirley and the whole family gang.

My sincere condolences to Shirley and her family for the loss of of husband, Charles Kelly, a lovely man who my sister-in-law, Charlene, notified us of the sad news. Although we aren't able to make it to Toronto for the funeral, Vicky and I will be making a donation to the St. Vincent de Paul foundation in his memory. He now rests in peace.

Charles was one of a kind. I first met him when Grant and Charlene started dating back in high school. He was such a vibrant force at that time and there was never a dull moment in our conversation. Although occasionally he would ask me to "speak up - I can't hear you". Over the years and throughout changes in my life we would have brief conversations at family gatherings but every conversation I had with him was memorable. I was so fortunate to see him most recently at Grant's Mom's funeral. I'm pretty sure he recognized me and even if he didn't I feel blessed to have seen him again. You have both had to lose a parent in a short time. It's tough for sure. Shirley I send my love and my prayers but I know you are surrounded by an amazing family. xoxoxo Tom

I remember "Mr Kelly" from his time around the courts at Blessed Sacrament Tennis Club.
Not only was he a fit and able player, but he was an all-around positive spirit and "good guy".
I know that he and I had numerous conversations about the club, sitting on those wooden benches under the lights, and I appreciated his time and advice.
My sincere condolences to Charlene (who spent some time at the club herself) and the rest of the family.
The world will be a poorer place without Mr Kelly.

Dear Dear Shirley
My prays and thoughts are with you. You have been through so much and have given Charles ALL your love and support- no other wife could have done so much. And I know in Charles own way, he knew he just had his "HEAVEN" in you.
You have a wonderful family and I know they will comfort and support you.
God be with you Shirley.

The day I met Mr and Mrs Kelly I felt truly blessed. The kindness and open love they showed me will be in my memory forever. Charles Kelly I know was a devoted husband and father and grandfather who will be remembered in my mind and those who were lucky enough to meet him with a smile. Mr Kelly, thanks
