Dear O’Hagan Family,
Our hearts go out to each of you and we pray that memories of this wonderful man will warm your hearts and provide comfort to you.
As a Kelly from Woodstock I was very aware of the accomplishments and the attributes of this native of our hometown. And of the esteem with which he was held.
It was our good fortune to meet Dick through the Liberal world and SMU connections. We were honored by his sincere interest and in awe of his humility.

Dear Wanda and Anne,
My sympathies. No one who met Dick O'Hagan will every forget him.
So full of life, intellect and insight. He was irrepressibly sociable, had respect for hierarchy, but yet could be deliciously irreverant. Well-connected? Surely he knew everyone who counted - in a multitude of countries.
I remember every day that I worked in his vast department at the Bank of Montreal (Corporate and Gvt Affairs and Communications, or something). His sky-high standards, his charismatic approach (!!). He only worked with the best and I was so proud to be on his team.
He had a great sense of humour, so on that note, I recall that during the 1980s, a golden era of PR and glitzy lifestyles, he had such a penchant for hi-budget projects that BMO CEO Bill Mulholland called him Diamond Dick !
A sad day, but a wonderful obituary.

Dear Wanda
We were shocked and saddened to learn that Dick had suddenly passed away . We saw him a little while ago and he was in fine fettle- full of life and good cheer. And that was Dick.
We have many wonderful memories of Dick as part of our “Ottawa” years.
He was a very special person and he will be sorely missed.

Dear Wanda,
What a shock it was for me to learn of Mr. O'Hagan's sunset. What a huge loss for you and your family!
He was truly a fine gentleman who was always kind to me – I count myself blessed to have known him.
I remember well his visits to Lowther Avenue, whether on business or just "to sit and rest a spell" with his dear friend Jim Coutts. His inimitable voice and laughter would ring through the house and I am sure that it will continue to ring throughout Heaven as he is reunited with many dear friends who have gone on before him.
