It was with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of George.
Over the years he was a wonderful friend and mentor.
I will cherish the memories of our visits and the interesting chats we had.
I will always remember his infectious sense of humour.
He will be sadly missed.

Our condolences to the Hart family. So very sad to hear of George’s passing. He truly was a Renaissance man, a romantic, a poet, a fascinating life lived. We have all his books, his Wordscapes books of poetry and Transcontinental Pedestrians. His love of family, life, nature, adventure and PEI shines through, and resonates, in his writing. It was an honour to call him friend. Susan Szabo and Andrew Thorne, Toronto Ontario

As a friend of Jennifer, we remember how fondly she spoke of her dad, of his achievements and friendly disposition. While we never got the chance to meet him, we would see photos that she would post of his birthdays on Facebook and he looked so healthy and alert for his age, he truly was a force of nature. Please accept our condolences in these difficult times.

Miss you Dad. I saw the big looming moon last night and thought of you. Jennifer
