Obituary of Kenneth Trevor Hamilton

KENNETH TREVOR HAMILTON

September 17^th, 1930 – October 20^th, 2018

Trevor passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20^th, 2018 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the age of 88.

Much loved husband, father, grandfather and friend.  Predeceased by his parents Iris and Frank Hamilton; devoted husband of Myrle of 61 years.  Proud father of Cynthia (Tim), Kenneth (Kara) and Douglas; and cherished grandfather to Connor, Ariel, Taylor, Madison, Hawkeye and Dana.

Trevor started with Bell Canada in 1950, retiring in 1992.  He spent two years as a Bell Canada technical representative with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and six months with the United States Air Force in Labrador.  Trevor was a member of the Irish Regiment of Canada from 1952 to 1962.  He was a military buff and had been active in many military organizations including the Royal Canadian Military Institute and the Canadian Military Heritage Association.  Other interests were genealogy, birdwatching, family get-togethers and especially, magic.

Trevor had a compassionate and generous spirit and touched many hearts and for that he will be greatly missed.

As per Trevor’s wishes cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 344, 1395 Lake Shore Blvd West Toronto, on Saturday, November 24^th, 2018, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
