Tears are rolling down my face right now. I wished I could have attended the Humphrey Funeral Home and the Rosedale United Church to show respect, and condolences for Chris, Brigitte, Alexandra, Michaela, his Mother Maria.
I worked with Chris at CBI Oakville( 1990), and then we went to CBI Mississauga ( both Chris, and Brigitte were there. I was a kinesiologist.
It was one of my employment highlights of my life thanks to his leadership, plus management. We had a winning team at Mississsuga, and we helped many clients get back to work!
Chris created a great legacy at CBI Health with the rest of the mamagement teams, that will be carried on in his memory !

I believe Chris' celebration of life is occurring as i write this message. Knowing how great of a man he was first hand; i'm sure the church is busting with people. And I wanted to pay my respects to you, his family, as i was not able to make the trip to Toronto unfortunately. I wanted to dearly however.
I am a physiotherapist, working and living in Nova Scotia with CBI. I have had the privilege of working with Chris over the past 10 years, and the joy of meeting with him for his trips to Nova Scotia (to keep us in line. haha).
We always looked forward to Chris' visits. I remember our first meeting, where he pulled out a sharp pencil and a Hilroy Scribbler. I thought oh boy - we are in trouble. haha. But during the meeting, i saw how passionate Chris was in changing the current health model, and knew from my very first meeting that he was definitely a LEADER by every sense of the word. From our very first encounter he gained my utter respect.
Being from Nova Scotia and the East Coast of Canada - we certainly enjoy our social time; and this is where we saw Chris really enjoy himself during his visits! Work hard and enjoy your life. I had many great nights with Chris after a long and successful day of work - with the occasional Negroni drank. He really made us feel that we were special and contributing to something greater than ourselves.
What a man. He will certainly be missed but remembered by myself and our organization. I hope to you his family you can find some peace in all of this at some point. Knowing how many lives he touched i hope will allow for this peace.
I will miss our nights in Nova Scotia, and will have a Negroni in honour of Chris Szybbo tonight.
My sincere condolences
Robert Cameron
