Dear Lorna
I am so very sorry for your loss and both Torben and I send our sincere condolences. I have very fond memories of Bill over many years always loving what he did and always having good things to say about his life. He loved the business and especially his work in Mexico. He is a big loss to all who knew him.
We send our best wishes to you and his family. We were away travelling when this was announced.
Sincere Condolences
Maureen

Dear Lorna. Please accept my deepest condolences on Bill's passing. I have so many indelible memories of Bill (always the central character, of course!), including our first meeting in Newfoundland in the summer of 1994, where he took my student and I out for a weekly 'night on the town' in Baie Verte, to the four years that I worked for Bill in Mexico (1997 to 2000). More recently, we began a new tradition of meeting for lunch (along with Gary Cohoon) in Toronto during PDAC. Bill gave me my start in the exploration industry. I greatly appreciated him for that opportunity, and always thoroughly enjoyed his company. Regards, Scott.

Hello Lorna. I was saddened to read Bill's obituary in the Globe. I didn't know Bill well -- we only met a few times at some of those rollicking mining events -- but I remember him as a kind, good-humoured and gentle man. My condolences to you and to his family.

Dear Lorna & Family,
Your friends at Big On Beagles Rescue are so saddened by Bill's loss. He was a very special person and had such a loving bond with his beagle, Lilly. I will always remember pizza and beer with you and Bill on your front porch after our big yard sale...

Dear Lorna and Family:
Words are inadequate to properly express our shock and profound sense of loss at Bill’s passing. To think that we will not see that smile, or hear that laugh, or share drinks and good times with him ever again, is almost beyond comprehension.
We do have wonderful memories, memories spanning almost 50 years, from Mount Allison in the early 1970s to very recently. We are especially grateful for the last eight years, for the closer contact that our mutual retirements and semi-retirements allowed, and for the wonderful Geology Class of 1973 reunions in the Maritimes every summer. Most of all we remember the laughter, and the love. Oh, we will miss him so!
Sue and I send our love to you, and to Arthur and the rest of the family.
Roland and Sue Wright

Dear Lorna and Family:
We are shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing, in particular at such a young age. That said, Bill will never be forgotten. Who could forget his deep laugh and hilarious stories. We loved talking with Bill about geology and farming. Bill was a good geologist, but more importantly he was a good person.
Lorna, Anna and I are thinking of you at this time. Please feel free to contact us for help at any time.
