When I returned from a sojourn in England, I joined a Beta Sigma Phi chapter in Toronto and met Elinor there. That was 1968 - 50 years ago. It was travel that first connected us although we never traveled together we talked a lot about it!
As happens, our lives separated but we managed at least one lunch a year the last being a few years ago.
My condolences to the family. She will be missed.
